Send and get paid from your own wallet.

Send USDC to another Kudu member by phone or email, or to any Stellar address. Get paid at your own address or with a payment link. A wallet is where you see your USDC and approve each payment. A Stellar address is the code that receives payments on the Stellar network. USDC is a digital token that Circle, its issuer, describes as pegged to the US dollar. MoneyGram runs the cash service for adding and withdrawing cash.

How it works

Three steps.

  1. Create your wallet

    Create your wallet on your device. Write your recovery phrase (24 words) on paper, in order, and keep it private. Anyone who has these 24 words can control your wallet. Verify your identity before you send or show your address.

  2. Send or get paid

    Your wallet needs USDC before your first send. You can receive USDC from another person, or add cash at a MoneyGram location. To send, choose a Kudu member by phone or email, or paste a Stellar address, then enter the amount. To get paid, open Receive and share your address or a payment link.

  3. Check and confirm

    Kudu charges a fee on some actions, and each fee is shown before you confirm. Check the recipient, the network and the amount: a confirmed send cannot be cancelled. Your wallet signs the transaction and the Stellar network confirms it.

What can I do with Send & Get Paid?
You can send USDC from your own wallet to a Kudu member, by phone number or email, or to any Stellar address. You get paid at your own address, which the app shows as text and a QR code, or with a payment link. Verify your identity before you send or show your address.
What are the fees?
Kudu pays the network deposit and fee for activating your account, subject to conditions. If Kudu cannot cover them, the setup is refused and nothing is charged. Kudu charges a fee on some actions, and MoneyGram charges its own fee for cash in and cash out. Each Kudu fee is shown before you confirm. Amounts in other currencies are an indication only. Kudu does not set exchange rates.
Do I need to understand crypto to use Kudu?
You use Kudu's screens to send and receive, and each fee is shown before you confirm. You do have one thing to look after: the recovery phrase (24 words) you get when you create your wallet. Write it on paper, in order, and keep it private.
How do I turn USDC into cash, or cash into USDC?
Through MoneyGram. You are taken to MoneyGram's page, MoneyGram operates the cash service, and MoneyGram sets and charges its own fee. To cash out, you send USDC from your wallet and collect cash at a MoneyGram counter. MoneyGram sets the cash amount. Kudu also charges a fee on some actions. Both fees are shown before you confirm.
What happens after I confirm a send?
A confirmed send cannot be cancelled. Your wallet signs the transaction and sends it on the Stellar network, which confirms it. For the cash step, MoneyGram sets its own timing.
